No one knows better than our new K-Kid Vito how hard life can be for military families. Vito hails from Okinawa, Japan, where he was purchased as a pup by one such military family stationed abroad, and when that tour was over, he moved right along with his family back to the States.  However, when this much-loved pet suddenly developed difficulties with his back legs, his mom was already overextended caring for three young boys alone while her husband served a tour in Iraq, and with a heavy heart, she asked the French Bulldog Village for help. Vito’s family was heartbroken to see him go, but they could not afford the cost of his specialized vet care or handle the burden of his immediate special needs. Fortunately, the FBVillage was ready, willing and able to take over the care of their little paralyzed pet.

As his his former owner described him, Vito has the “typical Frenchie attitude” and has been the “perfect little man” throughout this ordeal.  Vito’s back legs may be paralyzed but he can still get around by scooting across the floor.  He has to wear a diaper, but he does have  control of his bowels.  His foster mom reports that he is coming along well and getting along with his foster sister Nannette. We’re hoping that with some love, care and time - and maybe even a smokin' set of new wheels! - Vito will soon be ready to board the Bus in search of his  forever home.

Please contribute to the K-Fund so that we can continue to help families like Vito's when their French Bulldog's health problems become more than they can handle. If you can help us with a donation in any amount, (every dollar counts!), Vito and the rest of the K-Kids would REALLY appreciate it! Just click on the globe, and say it's for Vito. Thank you!
