Boomer arrived into FBV foster care
as an owner surrender nearly four months ago. After showing signs of serious aggressive
behaviors only two weeks into foster
care, we decided that Boomer
would benefit from a boot camp training program, and he was sent to
experienced dog trainer, Luciano Aguilar of
the
Sit Means Sit Dog Training - Los Angeles
training facility, where he spent two months in training. With
Aguilar's assistance in selecting a new home, and a requirement of
at least limited follow
up
with the training school (a minimum of two lessons) to ensure that
Boomer retain his new skills, Boomer is now seeking his forever
home!
This is a strong and
very active young French Bulldog who is just too smart
for his own good. Prior to going into training, he was in
charge of his own environment and calling all the shots, a situation
that nearly cost him his life. He gets along with other dogs
and ignores cats, but he still needs supervision
in order to maintain good behavior.
Boomer is crate trained and
housebroken and has received extensive formal
obedience training. He has had no health issues to date and is
current on his veterinary care.
Boomer is full of
energy, and if allowed to do so, he will take full advantage of any
owner who permits him to run the show. Boomer needs to have an
owner or owners who are self confident and strong pack leaders. He
will quickly take advantage of a person who is obliging and permissive and allows him to get away with little
things, creating bigger problems in the end. A stable owner
who can manage his or her dogs calmly and without upset or overmuch
excitement is an absolute must.
In the right hands, Boomer
can be a marvelous and devoted companion. If you think you are up
to the task of Boomer ownership, please contact us!
